2021-2022 Updates
Hi everyone!
Hope you're school year is off to a great start :)
I'd first like to thank everyone who came to our Back to School Social at Ralph B. Clark Park - it was a huge success!
During the council meeting this month, we planned for the Junior Induction Ceremony, as well as mental health events and IB gear.
​
At the Induction Ceremony, we continued the tradition of toasting to Apple Cider after the Juniors received their IB certificates and a note from their mentee, furthering the connection between the junior and senior class this year.
​
Lastly, I'd like to emphasize the availability of resources - whether it be previous advice about classes, or reaching out to your mentor we want you to know that IB has a great support system here for you!

Hi!
This month, Council went over action plans to prepare for fundraisers and mental health events.
As a general update, IB's Google Calendar has updates about Council meetings, socials and other IB events, and hopefully assignments such as major tests, IA deadlines, and projects. I hope this tool will be useful to both students and teachers to plan ahead and stay organized.

Hope you're having a great summer break :)
During this month's council meeting, we addressed the council goals, went over action plans, planned for the June social/workshop, and heard an update regarding the mentor-mentee program.
At our first social of the year, we released mentor-mentee pairings , paired up for a scavenger hunt around campus, and had an introductory CAS presentation regarding this year's projects. After the juniors and seniors got to meet, the seniors stayed for a college application workshop, where we were given resources from guest speakers and got to start our application.

I look forward to hosting more socials and workshops throughout the year.

Hi everyone! This is the first official update for the 2021-2022 school year! I'm looking forward to in-person learning and adjusting back to hosting socials, fundraisers, and other events :)
Throughout the year, council will meet each month to ensure your experience is the best it can be. Please fill out the anonymous feedback form throughout the school year to let council know how we're doing, in our efforts to connect and support you through the program.
During this month's council meeting, we reviewed our plan for the year, discussing our overall goal to foster the relationship between the junior and senior classes as well as placing an emphasis on easing the transition back to in-person school. We planned the mentor-mentee program, as well as the next social.

I look forward to refueling the IB family that Sunny Hills is well known for and am excited for a great year!
