IB Life
Our student culture plays a key role in the IB experience. We’ve created a safe and accessible environment where students are encouraged to discuss ideas, collaborate on projects, share their work, and receive feedback from fellow students and teachers. We give students the foundation to bring their potential to life.
In addition to socials held once a month, our IB council hosts mental health events such as yoga to ensure our students feel a sense of relaxation and receive the support they need. We also have a mentor-mentee program where a senior is paired with 1 or 2 juniors. The senior mentors will guide their mentees throughout their IB journey and they have a mutual beneficial relationship. Mentors can read their mentees' essays, provide assistance on their IAs, give advice about certain classes, and more. Mentees are encouraged to support their mentors during their senior year and provide assistance as well. To meet the required CAS (creativity, activity, service) requirement, we hold projects under the leadership of the CAS Coordinator. These encourage students to take on new activities and work together to serve the community.
